Native American Dance
2001 & 2002
During the summer of 2001 and to a greater part in 2002 I attended and photographed native dancers during pow wows. There is a mesmerizing and mystical quality to these ceremonies. With an atmosphere of openness and tolerance the native way is a shining example of harmony.
Please take a moment to view some of my photographs. The colorful and creative symbolism of the regalia within the differing tribes is infinitely diverse. I've divided the images into categories to make it a little easier to navigate through them.
